Meet DJ LIPZ

Born & raised in the UK, DJ Lipz studied fashion design & has worked in the industry for the last 30 years. Whilst working she studied hard to accomplish her childhood dream of becoming a DJ. DJ Lipz studied at London Sound Academy where she took several courses passing all with a distinction!

DJ Lipz's first gig was at Market House in Brixton in 2012. This led to her getting various gigs across London & a regular spot at City Link Radio where she performed at events with them in London & Amsterdam. DJ Lipz's last appearance in the UK before immigrating to Jamaica in 2012 was at the closing of Pacha.

Lipz moved to Jamaica to share her very extensive technical knowledge of fashion design & production. She was on a mission to elevate her industry by helping local designers by holding workshops & seminars in collaboration with The Jamaican Business & Design Corporation.

Collection Moda, Jamaica's largest fashion show & event organiser asked DJ Lipz to play at their cocktail & after party. From this huge event with a massive crowd of Caribbean celebrities & music icons, her career was catapulted! Being invited to play in a variety of gigs, events & festivals across Jamaica.

Appearances over the last 8 years include Hard Rock Cafe, BNM (a regular event held by Steve Urchin, manager of Sean Paul), Surf Camps at Jamnesia, Chill Bar Beach Spot, Longboarder & a regular spot on Jamaican Radio playing House & EDM on Hot 102 fm.

"I was invited up to play at NY Fasion Week after parties, one of which was Le Baine at The Standard Hotel. I also started my own event called Lipz Liberation Series".

DJ Lipz is currently in the UK upgrading her DJ skills and has official changed her name to Lipz! DJ Lipz also has her own website selling merchandise & her own fashion brand called Lipz Fly Design. Her future aspirations & projects are to travel extensively across the globe DJing at events & festivals whilst spreading a little bit of Lipz joy to who ever needs it!
